Our Services
Oral Surgery
At Perth Sedation Dentistry we are skilled in a range of oral surgical services. The procedures we provide fall under the category of 'dento-alveolar surgery', meaning surgery to the region of the teeth and supporting jaw bone and soft tissue. This includes the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, dental extractions (including immediate teeth replacement where required) and dental implant surgery. In some instances there is insufficient bone left in the jaw to support dental implants properly.
In most of these cases we are able to create the healthy tissue required to support implants using a range of regeneration procedures including sinus lifts, bone grafts and gum modification surgeries.
Most often our oral surgery procedures are carried out in the comfort of Sleep Dentistry (IV Sedation), but simple procedures can also be done under local anaesthetic or utilising a nitrous oxide(gas) light sedation, depending on patient preference. Either way, you have the convenience of in-house treatment(no hospitals or hospital fees) with the highest standards of patient care, surgical hygiene and a caring and professional service.
Dental Implants

Dental Implants are artificial teeth secured in the jaw that look, function and feel like natural teeth. Implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth, badly damaged teeth, unsightly and annoying partial dentures/bridgework, or even for a full mouth reconstruction - see our video. Dental implants consist of titanium fixtures surgically placed into the jaw bone to act as new tooth roots. Following a period of integration with the body and sometimes straight away, a crown is attached to the implants to restore the visible part of the missing tooth. They are the strongest and longest lasting tooth replacement option and allow patients to restore their missing teeth without annoying or bulky, loose dentres. We provide all aspects of dental
implant treatment, from surgery through to completion, all in-house. When patients are referred to us by another dentist for their dental implant surgery, they return to their dentist to have the crown(s) placed on their dental implant(s).
Did you know that when you lose teeth the jaw bone around them shrinks and other teeth start shifting? This can lead to dramatic consequences later on, both functionally and cosmetically and can not only change the appearance of your smile but your face as well. Dental implants are the optimal form of treatment available to avoid these problems.
